BOHO Décor Wins at Asia Architecture Design Awards with the Mega Gangnam Project

11 June 2025

BOHO Décor was officially named a winner at the Asia Architecture Design Awards 2025, earning the top prize in the “Commercial Building Interior Design” category, recognizing the most outstanding commercial interior design project in Asia. As one of the region’s most prestigious honors, the award celebrates excellence in architecture and interior design. This recognition affirms BOHO’s creative vision, high execution standards, and consistent design philosophy throughout its journey.

Mega Gangnam – Commercial Building Interior Design of 2025

Located in the heart of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Mega Gangnam Aesthetic Clinic is a five-star aesthetic center that embodies modern Korean-inspired design. Developed by Mega Gangnam – International Investment JSC, the project’s interior was entirely designed and executed by BOHO Décor. The team behind the project includes seasoned designers: Lam Thanh Tuan, Tran Thanh Van, Ing Quang Tien, Do Bich Ngoc, Dinh Le Duy, Le Minh Thu, Nguyen Viet Hoang, and Bui Anh Dao.

“Fountain of Youth” – A Space That Evokes Emotion and Experience

Inspired by Mega Gangnam’s mission to restore natural beauty and confidence through advanced Korean aesthetic technology, BOHO developed the design concept “Fountain of Youth” as a continuous, flowing narrative across the entire space.

Breaking away from the conventional spa model and the cold, sterile feel of clinical environments, Mega Gangnam embraces a new design language: Organic Futurism – a harmonious convergence of nature and technology within a deeply sensorial space. Asymmetrical, flowing lines are integrated throughout the ceiling, walls, and furnishings, creating a sense of movement reminiscent of water, a powerful symbol of youth and vitality.

The furniture is sculpted like contemporary art pieces, visually captivating yet highly functional. The color palette is refined, featuring sleek tones of silver, black, and grey, layered with a neutral base of beige and white, which offers a trendy yet timeless aesthetic.

Designing for Behavior, Emotion, and User Experience

More than a visually pleasing environment, Mega Gangnam was designed with deep research into real user journeys. BOHO carefully studied customer behavior, foot traffic, and emotional stages, from anticipation and anxiety to relaxation and recovery.

Each functional zone is strategically arranged to ensure smooth staff operations while maintaining privacy and comfort for clients. Soft ambient lighting, sound-absorbing materials, and cozy, contoured seating all work together to create an environment that feels both professional and comforting, almost like home.

Technical design details also reinforce medical standards: antibacterial coatings, slip-resistant vinyl flooring, and easy-to-clean brushed steel surfaces contribute to a safe, hygienic environment. Meanwhile, organically inspired, asymmetrical interior elements lend a distinct yet welcoming character.

BOHO Décor’s win at the Asia Architecture Design Awards is not only a recognition of aesthetic excellence but also a testament to its ability to research, conceptualize, and execute strategic design solutions for premium service brands. Mega Gangnam sets a new benchmark – where interior design becomes a transformative tool for customer experience in the service industry, especially in the beauty and wellness sectors.
