SCOPE OF WORK

Design & Build

Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3 officially came into operation on April 19, 2025, with a capacity of serving over 20 million passengers annually, marking a major development milestone in Vietnam’s aviation infrastructure. Accompanying this progress is the Lotus Lounge, a premium business-class lounge exclusively for Vietnam Airlines passengers, invested in and operated by SASCO.

Located on the 4th floor, at a central position with a direct view of the airport park and runway, the interior of the Lotus Lounge blends the modern character of Terminal T3 with elements of Vietnamese local cultural identity. From there, it becomes a bridge introducing refined local handicrafts along with high-quality service experiences for passengers.

Understanding the investor’s vision, the BOHO Décor team, in the role of design and build contractor, explored the cultural depth of traditional villages, drawing from the rustic charm of the ceramic village, where clay is fired into form, and the salt village, where white salt crystals are formed through the harmony of nature and human effort. These elements, though seemingly contrasting, convey a sense of rawness and purity, harmonized through material selection, a warm color palette, and an open spatial layout.

Every detail was carefully considered to highlight the spirit of traditional craftsmanship while ensuring functionality in dividing resting, dining, and working areas. The lounge also features a comfortable seating system, flowing curved ceilings, and natural light subtly adjusted throughout the day. The lotus flower—long regarded as a symbol of purity and nobility in Vietnamese culture – evokes both aesthetic elegance and the strong upward aspiration of the national airline, and is present throughout the space.

Throughout the construction process, all structural components including columns, beams, floors, and walls were thoroughly calculated to ensure load-bearing capacity and structural stability for the entire project. BOHO Décor was the turnkey contractor for the full fit-out package, including ceilings, walls, and flooring; MEP systems (lighting, air conditioning, water supply and drainage, network, telecommunications, and sanitary equipment); as well as all built-in and loose furniture. The project applied modern technologies and sustainable interior materials, meeting the standards of 5-star lounge services while minimizing environmental impact. In addition, every material and pattern used was carefully selected based on the characteristics of traditional craft villages, with the aim of honoring Vietnamese cultural values in every design detail.

Design is not only about form, it is also a form of storytelling. And Lotus Lounge tells the story of a modern Vietnam that still reveres its traditional values amid the vibrant rhythm of contemporary life. The continuous collaboration with SASCO and the proactive efforts of the BOHO Décor team have brought forward creative and effective solutions to meet the highest standards, creating a space where every passenger can experience the essence of Vietnamese craft culture, right in the middle of their journey.
