On the morning of July 12, 2025, more than 80 employees from six companies within the Ecosystem, including Newtecons, Ricons, SOL E&C, BM Windows, BOHO, and DB, joined hands to plant 1,500 black star trees, contributing to forest conservation at the Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve.

The Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve is one of the few remaining coastal forests in Southeast Vietnam. Spanning across Xuyen Moc District in the former Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, this over-11,000-hectare forest represents an intersection of pristine tropical forest ecosystems, mangrove forests, and coastal sand forests, forming a highly valuable and diverse biodiversity complex.

To open the program, Ms. Ha Tieu Anh, representing the Ecosystem’s Supervisory Board, shared with employees the meaning behind the tree-planting initiative held on the Ecosystem’s Traditional Day. The Ecosystem has been implementing numerous projects in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province (now part of Ho Chi Minh City), creating job opportunities for local workers. Today’s tree-planting program further affirms the Ecosystem’s commitment to contributing to local development through environmental protection, restoration of natural forests, and maintaining biodiversity balance within the reserve.

Immediately following the opening remarks, participants worked together to plant 1,500 black star trees, helping to green vacant areas as well as supplementing and replacing trees deeper within the forest. The planting activity was also accompanied by the Reserve Management Board, who provided detailed guidance on seedling selection and planting techniques.

The atmosphere during the tree-planting event was filled with enthusiasm and pride, as each employee felt honored to help protect the “green lung” of the Southeast coastal forest, home to hundreds of rare plant and animal species, many of which are listed in Vietnam’s and the world’s Red Books of endangered species.

After completing the planting, Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Director of the Construction Division of BM Windows, representing the Ecosystem, expressed his gratitude to all employees for their participation and support in the program. He believes that this tree-planting initiative in particular, and the Ecosystem’s community-oriented activities in general, will continue to accompany localities in achieving national sustainable development goals.
The Ecosystem, comprising Newtecons, Ricons, SOL E&C, BM Windows, BOHO, and DB, is not only a group of pioneering brands in construction, design, and interior finishing but also a cohesive collective united by a greater mission: creating sustainable value for communities and the environment. The planting of 1,500 forest trees today stands as a clear testament to their commitment to sustainable development and support for local community growth.
