At the seminar titled ‘Technology in Design and Construction: Trends and Future,’ held on July 9, 2024 at Vietnamese-German University, BOHO Décor participated as an experienced interior design company, aiming to bring fresh perspectives to the interior design industry.
Ms. Tran Thi My Xuyen – the representative of BOHO Décor, shared insightful views on the trends and future of technology in the construction and interior design industries. With many years of experience, Ms. Xuyen emphasized that BOHO always listens to the requirements of users and investors while aiming for unique designs, selectively incorporating trends into the design language while craftng a timeless design.
According to Ms. Xuyen, ‘Trends in interior design are constantly evolving, most notably during the COVID-19 pandemic. This period made us slow down and reflect on past experiences. This has deeply influenced post-pandemic design trends, with “wellness” and “healing” elements becoming viral.’
Thus, the design language has shifted from trend-driven, visually impactful styles to more gentle, authentic styles that emphasize multi-sensory experiences. Moreover, design trends are increasingly harmonizing with nature, incorporating local materials, colors, and stories into the design concepts.
‘Specifically, BOHO overcame the challenges of material transportation during the pandemic through our unique flexibility. Consequently, we quickly found alternative solutions by communicating with investors and using local materials in our projects, which not only provided convenience and equivalent quality but also added a traditional highlight to the design,’ Ms. Xuyen added.
With the rapid advancement of technology and artificial intelligence, BOHO cannot stand on the sidelines. The application of technology in design, construction, and furniture production is evident throughout BOHO Décor’s workflow.
Starting with the use of artificial intelligence, our team finds inspiration for design. We then store sample products and design spaces as 3D models, digitizing physical products into the digital system. This streamlines the development of product models. During construction, BOHO utilizes BIM (Building Information Modeling) and modularization to optimize time and resources. In furniture production, our factory is equipped with advanced lighting technology and dust extraction systems, ensuring safety and wellness for our workers during the production process.
This seminar is a testament to our commitment to constantly seeking and applying the most advanced and suitable solutions in creating spaces for our clients.
